Regional Commissioner Zaheera Naseem visited the flood-affected Farhatabad and Sardagi villages in Kalaburagi taluk on Sunday to assess the situation following the swelling of the Bhima.

During the visit, she received details from local Tahsildar on the relocation of affected residents, the functioning of relief centres and other arrangements.

The Regional Commissioner instructed officials to ensure the safety of people at all times and to prevent any loss of life.

She also inspected a relief centre in Koodi and directed that affected residents be provided with quality food and proper healthcare.

“Continuous health monitoring is very important, with special attention to children. All essential facilities should be made available to those affected by floods,” she said.
