Documentary on K.C. Venugopal reportedly the latest ‘casualty’ in the ‘tussle’ for post-poll UDF leadership

A documentary detailing the life and times of All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary, K.C Venugopal, MP, KC@50, appears to be the latest “casualty” in the alleged organisational tussle in the Congress in Kerala over the post-poll leadership of the United Democratic Front (UDF).

According to a Congress insider, the party’s high command had strongly conveyed to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) to request the rank and file in the State to desist from publishing acclamatory material on leaders on “social, television and print media” till after the high command settles the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leadership question in consultation with elected party legislators and incumbent MPs after the Assembly election results on May 4.
