DMK student wing secretary R. Rajiv Gandhi on Saturday refuted the allegation made by TVK leader Vijay that the DMK government had failed to fulfil its promise to construct a manimandapam (memorial) for Dr. P. Subbarayan, the former Premier of the Madras Presidency.

In a statement issued here, he clarified that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the memorial at Thottakurpatti in Namakkal in May 2024.

“The construction has been completed and is ready for inauguration,” he added.
