The Director of Fire Services requested the managements of buildings to whom fire No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) were issued in 2021 and 2022 on the basis of gazette notifications as per the directions of High Court (HC) and subsequently annulled by the government, to submit explanations within 30 days, stating whether they implemented fire safety measures in accordance with the A.P. Fire Services Act, 1999. Notices were earlier issued to the respective managements as ordered by the HC.

It was stated in a press release that if fire safety measures were found to be in place, the department would consider issuing revised fire NoCs by following the due procedures. The managements were told to seek clarifications in that regard by contacting the Fire Department directly on phone (9441236448) or through connectdgfire@gmail.com.
