A joint meeting of officials and police officers from Cuddalore district and Puducherry on Monday (April 21, 2026) resolved to step up surveillance in areas along the inter-State border in view of the forthcoming April 23 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

The joint meeting was chaired by Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar and Puducherry Collector A. Kulothungan.
