Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has directed the officials to expedite works relating to the launch of digital health cards for employees on June 2, coinciding with the State formation day.

The Chief Secretary gave the directions during a meeting of the Joint Staff Council comprising representatives from the government and the employees unions here on Friday. Held after a considerable gap, the Joint Staff Council meeting deliberated on problems faced by the government employees and pensioners. Several issues like Pay Revision Commission report, pending bills pertaining to employees, services issues including transfers under GO 317 came up for discussion.

Mr. Ramakrishna Rao instructed the officials concerned to ensure speedy redressal of grievances other than finance related matters raised by the employees’ unions in the meeting.

He assured the employees that the government would get the report and recommendations of the PRC headed by retired bureaucrat N. Shivashankar claiming that the Commission too had intensified its efforts to finalise the report as early as possible.

The Chief Secretary wanted the officials to make arrangements for the conduct of Joint Staff Council meetings at the directorate and district levels. He exhorted the employees unions to leverage technology for speedy redressal of problems raised by people.
