The members of Prakasam district committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) staged a protest condemning the attack by President Donald Trump-led U.S. government on Venezuela, on Trunk Road in Ongole on Wednesday.

Demanding the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, the CPI(ML) members claimed that the oil-driven American imperialism would pose a threat to the world peace.

Calling Trump’s attack on Venezuela as ‘imperialist aggression’ on a sovereign country to capture its vast oil and natural resources, the CPI(ML) cadres condemned the capture of President Maduro and his wife, and taking them to the US.
