The wife of a police constable allegedly ended her life at her residence in Anantapur in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, the woman had recently shared posts on a social media platform, which drew objectionable replies from another constable, identified as Gurumohan Reddy. The matter came to the attention of the woman’s husband, leading to a heated argument between the couple. During the altercation, the husband reportedly compelled his wife to lodge a complaint against his colleague at a local police station.
Against this backdrop, the woman allegedly took the extreme step. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
