Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy condemned the BJP Yuva Morcha laying siege to Congress office in Hyderabad and also the residence of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.

Addressing the media here, Mr. Reddy defended the protest staged by Youth Congress activists in New Delhi during the recent AI Summit, and said some activists demonstrated semi-nude against the policies of the Union government, and the protest was not against AI summit.

He asked how Congress can oppose the AI summit when it was the Congress that laid the foundation for technological education through IITs and NITs, and also technology promotion by late Rajiv Gandhi. The protests were to demonstrate its opposition to US Trade deal that had harmed the interests of the country, farmers and youth.

The BJP was making a hue and cry to divert attention from the shame of equipment imported from foreign countries being showcased as Indian at the AI Summit.
