Sharanabasveshwar College of Commerce will, in association with the Indian Economic Association, organise a one-day national conference on “Viksit Bharat: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Sustainable Development” on its campus in Kalaburagi on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, principal of the college Dashrath Mehtry said that the conference aims to provide a common platform for academicians, researchers and students to deliberate on key issues related to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation through sustainable and inclusive growth.

He said that the conference will feature two technical sessions focusing on contemporary and emerging areas of national importance.

The first technical session will be on Environmental Sustainability, addressing challenges related to climate change and conservation of natural resources.

The second technical session will focus on Artificial Intelligence, highlighting its role in development, innovation, productivity and its potential impact on various sectors.

Renowned academicians will serve as resource persons for the conference.

Sharangoud S. Biradar from the Department of Management Studies, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Kalaburagi, will speak on Environmental Sustainability; while Karibasappa K.G. from KLE Technological University, Hubballi, will speak on Artificial Intelligence and its relevance to sustainable development and nation-building.

He said that the conference will also include paper presentation sessions, providing an opportunity for research scholars, faculty members and students to present their research findings and exchange ideas on multidisciplinary approaches to development.

The conference will be inaugurated by Secretary, Sharanabasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha Basavaraj S. Deshmukh.
