District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has directed officials to accord priority to the creation of basic infrastructure and ensure coordinated efforts for industrial development in the district.

Chairing a meeting of the District Industries Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) at the Collectorate on Friday, Mr. Kishore reviewed pending industrial approvals, land allotments, infrastructure development works and the implementation of self-employment schemes. He emphasised the need for expeditious processing of applications through the Single Desk portal and instructed officials to provide all necessary support to entrepreneurs.

The Collector called for swift clearance of pending proposals in various industrial parks and directed departments concerned to ensure that approvals were granted within the stipulated timeframe. Reviewing the progress of applications received under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and PM Vishwakarma scheme, he asked officials to expedite loan sanctions and organise capacity-building programmes for beneficiaries.

Mr. Kishore also reviewed infrastructure facilities in industrial parks, including roads, power supply, water supply and street lighting. He examined the progress of development works in Pedagantyada, Auto Nagar and the Nano Park, besides reviewing land allotments, execution of sale deeds, progress of projects under memoranda of understanding and investment approvals.

He directed officials to coordinate with APSRTC to operate electric bus services for employees working in Auto Nagar and IT parks and called for faster action to improve water supply facilities in the Auto Nagar industrial area.

District Industries Centre General Manager Adiseshu, APIIC Zonal Manager Simhachalam and officials of various departments attended the meeting.
