Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked each IAS officer to design at least one flagship programme in their department, something they can take pride in, and communicate achievements to people.
To implement comprehensive digital governance reforms, Mr. Reddy ordered the constitution of a single-member committee under senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan.
The committee has been asked to submit its report within three weeks. The Chief Minister made these remarks at a review meeting of the government’s prestigious 99-day Statewide special programme titled, Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika (People’s Governance – Development Plan).
Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, DGP Shivadhar Reddy, CM Adviser Vem Narender Reddy, CMO officials, and principal secretaries and secretaries of all departments were present.
The initiative will be implemented from March 6 to June 12 across all levels — from village to State — with a structured schedule of activities.
The Chief Minister called upon officials to treat June 2, Telangana Formation Day, as a grand festival of four crore people and to execute the 99-day programme with utmost responsibility in the run-up to the celebrations.
He said that decisions taken in files must translate into tangible results on the ground. The entire administrative machinery should work with a single objective — ensuring that the benefits of government schemes directly reach the people, he said.
Revanth Reddy said he would personally monitor the progress and conduct regular reviews, warning that inefficiency would not be tolerated. “IAS officers are the backbone of the government. The success or failure of every policy and scheme rests with you,” he told officials, stressing inter-departmental coordination for the programme’s success.
The Chief Minister also announced major administrative and digital reforms to simplify citizen services. He directed that advanced technology be effectively utilised to ensure that people can access government services from their homes without visiting offices.
Telangana Rising vision
As part of the Telangana Rising vision, the government is dividing the State into Core Urban Region, Peri-Urban Region, and Rural zones to build one of the strongest economies in the country. The Chief Minister said the service sector in the Core Urban Region and the manufacturing zone spread across nearly 10,000 square kilometres between the Outer Ring Road and the proposed Regional Ring Road would play a crucial role in shaping the State’s economic future.
Investment and Future City
Referring to the Telangana Rising Global Summit held in Hyderabad, the World Economic Forum meetings, and foreign visits, the Chief Minister said the State has attracted investment commitments worth nearly ₹8 lakh crore.
He directed secretaries to ensure that all MoUs are grounded and translated into real projects through continuous follow-up and ease-of-doing-business reforms.
“With two years and nine months left before the next elections, this is the time to honestly assess our achievements, identify gaps, and move forward with clear direction. We must repay the people’s trust not with words, but with good governance,” he said.
