Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to take immediate action on the TGSRTC Joint Action Committee (JAC)’s request for withdrawal of cases against workers during the recent strike and approved payment of wages for this period. He also touched upon a larger plan to improve public transport infrastructure, including expansion and bus fleet modernisation.

Mr. Reddy met the JAC leaders at his Jubilee Hills residence on Friday, when he mentioned steps to improve the corporation’s financial and operational health with procurement of 1,000 electric buses, a mini-bus fleet, and expansion of services integrated with the Metro network.
