“The DMK regime has created respect for women which they earlier lacked,” said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Saturday, underscoring women’s empowerment as a central plank of his government during an election campaign in Mettupalayam in Coimbatore.

He asserted that “DMK will break its own records” as he mounted a sharp attack on the BJP and AIADMK at the public meeting.
