With work to pre-cast single-cell box girders progressing fast at their 64-acre casting yard near Chembarambakkam, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to complete construction of the two-tier Chennai Port-Maduravoyal elevated corridor by November 2027.
“The State government is cooperating with us and has promised to help us increase the number of working hours daily from 11 to 16, so we can complete the work as per schedule,” Virender Sambyal, Regional Officer, NHAI-Chennai told mediapersons on Tuesday.
