Case booked against folk singer Mangli, others over alleged ₹10 crore fraud

The Punjagutta police have registered a case against singer Mangli, also known as Satyavathi, her brother and others following allegations of cheating, financial fraud and criminal intimidation linked to a microfinance scheme.

According to the complaint, nearly 100 persons were allegedly induced to invest money with promises of high returns through film financing and related business activities. The investors claimed that neither the promised returns nor their original investments were repaid.
