Vice President-elect Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan will take oath on Friday (September 12, 2025) morning at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office to Mr. Radhakrishnan.

The government has extended invitations to Leaders of Opposition of both Houses of Parliament. As per sources, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar too shall attend the swearing in.

The swearing-in ceremony is at 10:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m.. Mr. Radhakrishnan, according to sources, has also called a meeting of all floor leaders of Rajya Sabha. The information about the meeting of the floor leaders was relayed by the government late on Thursday evening, leading to consternation among several leaders who are away in their constituencies.
