A major tragedy was narrowly averted in Bengaluru after a train rammed a BMTC bus at a railway crossing at Sadaramangala in Kadugodi on Monday.
The impact caused damage to the bus, but no fatalities were reported as no passengers were travelling in the vehicle. However, the bus conductor sustained injuries.
According to officials, the incident occurred when the BMTC bus was heading from Sadaramangala towards Kadugodi on Railway Parallel Road. The bus reversed into the track and crashed into the passing train.
Due to the impact, a portion of the bus got damaged and the conductor sustained injuries.
The Kadugodi police and railway officials rushed to the spot and shifted the injured conductor to the hospital and detained the driver for further investigation.
