The BJP held a rally in Belagavi on July 20 alleging delay by the government in Karnataka in declaring a drought in the State.

Protestors walked from Kittur Channamma Circle to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, and shouted slogans against the government.

MLA Vithal Halgekar, former MLAs Mahamtesh Doddagoudar and Sanjay Patil, former MLC Mahantesh Kavatagimath, district president Subhash Patil, farmers’ wing president Jagadish Budihal, and secretary Sandeep Deshpande participated in the rally.
