Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) attempts to push forward bills related to women’s reservation, delimitation, and an increase in constituencies were aimed at indirectly altering the constitutional framework and undermining reservation policies.

Addressing a press conference at his official residence in New Delhi on Saturday (April 18, 2026), the Chief Minister claimed that the BJP had entered the 2024 general elections with the slogan of securing over 400 seats, to gain the two-thirds majority required to amend the Constitution and abolish reservations.
