Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday (June 28) described the BJP as a “factory of lies”, accusing the party of misleading people and undermining the Constitution and democratic values.

Addressing a divisional-level awareness programme on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls organised by the Congress in Mysuru, Mr. Siddaramaiah alleged that the BJP had been resorting to unethical means to capture and retain power.

“The BJP is a factory of lies. It manufactures falsehoods and propagates them until they are accepted as the truth. It misleads the people and does not believe in the Constitution or democratic values,” he alleged.

Accusing the BJP of pursuing a centralised political agenda, Mr. Siddaramaiah said the party was working towards imposing ‘One Nation, One Election’. “The BJP believes in dictatorship rather than democracy,” he charged.
