Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft Corporation, has reached Vijayawada on Monday morning (February 16, 2026) to discuss the implementation of various projects in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.), supported by the Gates Foundation. He met with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and senior officials of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

Ministers Nara Lokesh, Vangalapudi Anitha, K. Archannaidu and Y. Satya Kumar welcomed Mr. Gates at the Vijayawada international airport.

Mr. Gates is scheduled to watch presentations to be given by the Chief Minister on real-time governance and Sanjeevani health project, and deliberate on possible expansion of the assistance being given by Gates Foundation for projects in agriculture, education and healthcare sectors. He will see natural farming being done with the backing of AI at a farm near Undavalli village before winding up his short visit.
