With 380 to 400 trips operated daily between the two cities, the State transport corporation carried a large number of commuters who came to witness the festivities that turned the city into a hub of colourful celebrations.
The trips included the operation of all categories of buses, including Sarige, Airavatha, Airavatha Club Class, Rajahamsa, Ashwamedha, and electric buses. The trips pertain to operations by the Mysuru and Bengaluru KSRTC divisions.
The Bengaluru-Mysuru highway continues to be busy even now, registering highest vehicular traffic over the last ten days. The highway, on many occasions, witnessed traffic congestions, particularly at toll plazas, during the festive season following a considerable movement of private vehicles with the celebrations here turning out to be a grand affair.
The traffic, especially on October 1 and 2, was heavy on all roads leading to the city of palaces that hosted the grand Dasara finale.
