At least 15 passengers are feared dead after a Bengaluru-bound Kaveri travels bus, which started from Hyderabad last night (October 24, 2025), got completely gutted near Chinnatekuru village on the outskirts of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh.

According to police sources, the fire broke out after a two-wheeler rammed into the bus early on Friday morning (October 24, 2025), around 3:00 a.m..

The blazes soon engulfed the entire bus. 12 passengers managed to escape by breaking open the window panes. One of the escaped passengers, speaking from the hospital, said he helped four passengers escape, but some of his family members got stuck in the flames. There were nearly 42 passengers in the bus.
