Synergia Foundation, a Bengaluru-based think tank, is taking its Neighbourhood and Techno Diplomacy initiatives to countries across South and Southeast Asia.

A release said that this follows the ‘India’s Neighbourhood and Techno Diplomacy – Challenges and Opportunities Integration’ conference held in November 2023 by Synergia Foundation in partnership with the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB).

“Since then, Synergia has conducted several outreach programmes with neighbouring countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, and Singapore, fostering thought leadership and promoting regional cooperation. The subsequent conference in Bodh Gaya and at Nalanda University in September 2024 reinforced these efforts by exploring the intersections of shared cultures, values, and future aspirations,” the release added.

The release also said that amidst profound geopolitical change and intensifying power rivalry, Sri Lanka will host a new intellectual hub dedicated to shaping the region’s future as the South Asia Sustainability & Security Research Institute (SASSRI) was officially launched on Wednesday, September 10.
