“Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar forced me to resign from the post of Chairman of the Legislative Council. I faced harassment and humiliation. I have resigned out of pain. I am still sad about it,” BJP MLC Basavaraj Horatti said in Gadag on Sunday.

“The Chief Minister came to my house and sat down to seek my resignation. He even came to the office of the chairman and sat for one-and-a-half hours with the same demand. The Chief Minister and others brought pressure on me to resign before the end of my term. This hurt me deeply,” he said.
