Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, continued his tirade against the Congress and the AIMIM accusing them of forging a ‘secret deal’ to defeat the BJP in the elections to the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) to be held on Wednesday (February 11, 2026).

Addressing an election rally in Karimnagar on Sunday (February 8, 2026) evening, Mr. Sanjay accused the ruling Congress party of trying to spend ₹100 crore to defeat the BJP in the civic polls.

Having realised that the BJP is going to win in 50 divisions and bag the mayoral post, the Congress party, in connivance with AIMIM, is making last-ditch efforts to buy votes in the elections to the KMC, he alleged.

Mr. Sanjay appealed to the people to vote for BJP candidates saying he would take up the responsibility of ensuring comprehensive development of Karimnagar. “Teach both the parties a fitting lesson at the hustings,” he said. Maharashtra IT Minister Ashish Shelar and BJP leader Navneet Rana also took part in the election rally.
