Leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Federation (APTF) have urged the government to conduct counselling for teachers recruited through DSC-2025 in offline mode.

In a statement on Wednesday, APTF State president G. Hridaya Raju and general secretary S. Chiranjeevi said the newly selected teachers were concerned about the government’s plan to conduct web-based counselling for school selection. They noted that in Kurnool district alone, around 1,650 SGT assistants would have to give web options without proper knowledge of the villages, causing serious inconvenience.

The leaders added that offline counselling would allow teachers to select schools based on their rank and preferences in a transparent and convenient manner, and urged the authorities to adopt this mode.
