The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), in collaboration with Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), inaugurated a five-day workshop at the university campus on Monday (June 29, 2026) to help educational institutions in the State develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).

According to a press release from the APSCHE, the workshop titled ‘Design, Develop, and Deliver MOOCs and the Associated Ecosystem’ is designed to empower higher education institutions in Andhra Pradesh to create, develop, and deliver such courses, aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), the National Academic Depository (NAD), and leading global digital learning platforms.

APSCHE Chairman K. Madhu Murthy, APSCHE Vice-Chairperson K. Ratna Shiela Mani, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan State Project Director Narayana Bharath Gupta and others took part on the first day of the workshop.

As part of the workshop, experts from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, will provide hands-on training on instructional design, content creation, learning management systems, learner engagement, assessment strategies, and the internationally accepted Six-Quadrant MOOC Development Framework.

Around 65 to 75 faculty members drawn from universities, autonomous institutions, professional colleges, and affiliated colleges from across the state are participating in the workshop, according to the release.

APSCHE is also introducing Quantum Technologies as a multidisciplinary minor programme to prepare students for future technologies.
