The district administration has invited applications for the Green Champion Award 2025 of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) from individuals and organisations who have made exemplary contribution to environmental conservation and protection. The award is presented annually to 100 recipients, each receiving ₹1 lakh.
The initiative recognises efforts in environmental education, research, sustainability, waste management, water conservation, climate action, emission reduction, plastic waste control, eco-restoration, and coastal protection. Eligible applicants, include organisations, educational institutions, local bodies, industries, and individuals.
The selection process will be conducted through a District Level Award Committee (DLAC) chaired by the Cuddalore District Collector.
Applications will be assessed based on their impact and contribution to environmental sustainability. The application format is available on the TNPCB website (www.tnpcb.gov.in), and additional details can be obtained from the District Environmental Engineer, TNPCB, Cuddalore. The last date for submission is January 20, 2026.
