Apollo Hospitals has launched a Centre for Venous Disorders at their Greams Road hospital, focusing on conditions such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, venous ulcers, bleeding, and chronic venous insufficiency.

The centre aims at providing comprehensive treatment for venous disorders, having specialisations in vascular surgery, radiology, dermatology, and wound care under one roof, a press release said.

Speaking on the occasion, Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai Region, said, “With the launch, we have made significant progress in tackling a group of disorders that often go undiagnosed and inadequately treated. Through this centre, we will be able to provide treatment that is precise and minimally invasive, resulting in quick recovery.”

Vascular surgeons Balaji and Rajarajan Venkatesan; Naveen, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road; and Dr. Anil, DMS, Apollo Hospitals, Cluster 1, Chennai, were present at the launch.
