The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP-JAC), Amaravati, passed a series of resolutions during its fourth State general body meeting held in Vijayawada on Thursday.

The conference saw the participation of representatives from various employee associations who discussed long-pending service, salary, pension, and welfare issues of government employees.

At the organisational level, the meeting approved amendments to the bylaws of APJAC Amaravati, including increasing the number of State executive members and the formation of a dedicated women’s wing.

The conference also urged the State government to officially recognise APJAC, Amaravati and include it in the State Joint Staff Council, citing its long-standing role in safeguarding employee interests. The delegates expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior Ministers for holding discussions with employee unions in October 2025.

On financial matters, the conference demanded the immediate appointment of a Pay Revision Commission (PRC) Commissioner for the implementation of the 12th PRC, which has been pending since April 2023, along with the announcement of Interim Relief.

It also sought a clear roadmap for settling pending arrears, including DA, PRC dues, GPF, and surrender leave encashment. A significant demand was raised for doubling the honorarium of Village Revenue Assistants.

Pension reforms

The meeting further resolved to press for pension reforms, including shifting eligible employees from CPS to OPS, restoring higher pension benefits for senior pensioners, and issuing ration cards to low-income pensioners.

Issues related to the regularisation of contract employees, compassionate appointments, Group IV recruitment, outsourcing employee welfare, and improved training facilities were also highlighted.

AP JAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, associate chairman T.V. Phani Perraju, and others spoke.

The new State Secretariat of the JAC Amaravati took oath during the meeting. Earlier, the members of the JAC took out a procession from Lenin Centre to Tummalapalli Kalakshetram as part of their meeting.
