The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Monday allotted 282 returnable plots to farmers of the capital region through an e-lottery system at its headquarters in Rayapudi, Amaravati.

The allotment was made to farmers from villages including Krishnayapalem, Nowlur, Kuragallu, Velagapudi, Mandadam, Nidamarru, Penumaka, Thulluru, Nekkallu, Ananthavaram, Rayapudi, Venkatapalem, Dondapadu, Ainavolu, Lingayapalem, Uddandarayunipalem and Malkapuram, who had contributed land for the development of capital Amaravati.

Of the 282 plots allotted, 167 are residential and 115 commercial, benefiting a total of 177 farmers and landowners. The allocation was carried out through an online random system after conducting a trial run in the presence of farmers to ensure transparency.

APCRDA Additional Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja distributed provisional certificates to the beneficiaries.

Special Grade Deputy Collector and Director (Lands – Capital City) N.S.V.B. Vasantharayudu said GIS staff and village surveyors have been deployed to explain the exact geographical location of the allotted plots to farmers.

He urged beneficiaries to complete the registration process at the earliest, clarifying that no registration fee would be charged.
