The winners of the Commissioner’s Champions League were felicitated with the Commissioner’s Champions Trophy and prizes at a special ceremony organised by the Kozhikode City Police on Saturday (October 4) as part of the ongoing anti-drug awareness campaign.
The winners were chosen based on the number and impact of their campaigns against substance abuse held in August 2025, in solidarity with the police’s ‘No Never’ anti-drug campaign. Parambil Government High School, Providence Women’s College, and Mazhavillu Residents’ Association bagged the first prize in three different categories for conducting the highest number of awareness programmes and creative activities during the 30-day period.
In the project report preparation competition for Student Police Cadets, Savio High School, Devagiri, secured first place. Providence High School came second, followed by St. Joseph’s Girls High School in third.
A quiz for families was also held under the Commissioner’s Champions League banner. K.P. Sujaya and family from Sopanam House, Pavangad, won first place. Dr Manu Varma and family, representing Azchavattom Residents’ Association, secured the second place, while the family of Bhagath from Snehadeepam Residents’ Association, Elathur, bagged the third.
District Police Chief (Kozhikode City) T. Narayanan presented the trophies and prizes to the winners. Deputy Commissioner of Police Arun K. Pavithran was the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K. Bijuraj, Sub Inspector Shibu Moodadi (Social Policing Division), Assistant Sub Inspector Preman Muchukunnu, and Senior Civil Police Officer K. Raseena were also present.
