Anil Kumar Tippannavar bagged multiple honours, including the Chief Minister’s Sword, at the passing-out parade of the 46th batch of trainee police sub-inspectors at Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) in Mysuru on Sunday (March 29). 

The other awards bagged by Mr. Tippannavar include the Best Trainee award, Chief Minister’s Trophy, DG and IGP’s Baton award, and a cash prize worth ₹10,000, instituted by former Director General of Police B.N. Garudachar.

Best woman trainee

The Best Woman Trainee award was bagged by Shambavi G., who also received the Home Minister’s Trophy and the ₹10,000, instituted by Mr. Garudachar and his wife Vatsala Garudachar

Sunil M. won the Best Outdoor Trainee award and DG and IGP’s Cup, while Dasharath C.K. won the Best Rifle Firing award and Sridhar L.K. won the Best Pistol Firing award.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who gave the awards after watching the parade, also announced a cash prize of ₹2 lakh to the staff of KPA.

The passing-out parade, comprising 327 trainee police sub-inspectors, was also attended by Home Minister G. Parameshwara, Mysuru district in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K. Venkatesh, Director General of Police M.A. Saleem, former Minister Tanveer Sait, and T.S. Srivatsa, MLA.
