Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need to promote Naturopathy alongside Yoga for addressing health issues with focus on preventive wellness and digital AI-enabled health.

In a video conference with a high-level advisory panel on health care on Tuesday (December 16, 2025), Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the government aimed at improving the public health outcomes to global standards and for it, capacity building with the help of advanced technologies was crucial.

Emphasis has been laid on rendering services of the highest quality, for which all the stakeholders have to make a concerted effort.

The CM said the government was implementing the guidelines prescribed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to meet various standards in the health sector.

Digital health records were being created for citizens through the Sanjeevani Project supported by the Gates Foundation. To start with, public health details were collected and integrated through the Digital Nerve Centre in Kuppam and Chittoor districts.

“The government’s endeavour was to make data available on a real-time basis and utilise the same for better delivery of public health schemes. Health-care goals were listed in Swarnandhra Pradesh Vision-2047,” the Chief Minister stated.

Further, Mr. Naidu said infrastructure in the health sector was being augmented on a large scale, and importance was given to preventive technologies. He requested experts to suggest innovative projects in the health sector including the adoption of Artificial Intelligence.

UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS) Executive Director Peter Piot, WHO scientist Soumya Swaminathan, AIG Chairman D. Nageshwar Reddy and Dean of the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore, Yik Ying Two were among the experts who shared their insights. Health Minister Y.
