Vizianagaram District Congress Committee’s new President Maripi Vidyasagar said that he would concentrate on local body elections by strengthening the party from the booth level in the district. Mr. Vidyasagar, who has been leading the party in the district, was given another chance as DCC resident. He received the appointment letter from the All India Congress Committee on Saturday (January 3, 2026) night.

In a press release, he thanked AICC and PCC for reposing faith in him while hoping that the party would recuperate very soon, as the people were not happy with NDA, and YSRCP, and other parties in the State. He said that many youngsters were keen to join the party and contest in the ZPTC and MPTC elections, which are likely to be held very soon.

Congress Party’s Vizianagaram city new President Sanmuneti Srinivasa Rao said that he would focus on municipal corporation elections by taking suggestions from senior leaders of the party.

All India Congress Committee appointed Vangala Dalinaidu as the new District Congress Committee President of Parvatipuram-Manyam district. The party senior leader Sanapala Annaji Rao has been appointed as DCC President of Srikakulam district. The party high command has provided Rella Ramesh to lead the party in Srikakulam city.
