Actor Lakshmi Menon has approached the Kerala High Court seeking the quashing of a case in which she was charged with abduction and assault of an IT employee in Kochi on the night of August 24, 2025.
The court had recently granted anticipatory bail to Ms. Menon and others who had been arraigned as accused in the case that was registered by the Ernakulam North police. This followed a submission made by the parties before the court that the disputes among them had been settled, while the assaulted IT employee filed an affidavit saying that he had no objection in granting anticipatory bail to the actor.
The case was registered on August 25 on a complaint filed by the youth from Aluva that he was reportedly abducted and assaulted by the actor and others following a brawl at a bar in the city on August 24.
The case has been posted for hearing on November 7.
