Anti-Corruption Bureau officials unearthed properties disproportionate to known sources of income of a home guard constable, identified as Netti Srinivasa Rao, in Vizianagaram district. ACB sleuths conducted simultaneous raids in S. Kota, Vizianagaram and his native place Gurla on Thursday (January 29).
According to ACB sources, the home guard has been working in Vizianagaram Police headquarters for the last 15 years. The ACB teams seized several land documents, gold, silver and cash. They are also trying to open the bank lockers of Mr. Srinivasa Rao and his family members. The teams reportedly interacted with his colleagues and others to know the background and income sources of the home guard.
