Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) and NRI Empowerment and Relations Kondapalli Srinivas on Saturday said Andhra Pradesh has one of the best industrial policies in the country, with a strong cluster-based approach.

Speaking at a session on ‘Emerging Sunrise Sectors in AP- Pathways for Growth and Investments’ on the second day of the ’Business Expo 2025’ organised by the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation in Vijayawada, the Minister highlighted the role of the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) and said the State offered significant opportunities, particularly in the agriculture sector.

The Minister launched new products from Morris Garages (MG) and TATA Motors at the expo.

President of A.P. Chambers, P. Bhaskara Rao said the idea was to utilise this platform (Business Expo) to promote innovation by launching innovative products.

A panel discussion moderated by ‘Better Castings’ managing director J.S.R.K. Prasad deliberated on investment opportunities, skill development, technology adoption, global market access and value addition for sustainable industrial growth.

A session on ‘Agri Value Chains, Food Processing and AgTech Innovation’ brought together policy-makers, industry leaders, startups and agri-entrepreneurs on a common platform.

Principal Secretary, Department of Food Processing, Chiranjeevi Chowdary spoke about the need to focus on value chain development and reducing post-harvest losses to enhance farmers’ income and strengthen the agri and food processing ecosystem.

He elaborated on the State government’s initiatives to promote food processing industries, encourage agri-based startups and create a robust ecosystem through policy support and infrastructure development.

The session was moderated by the A.P. Food Processing Society CEO G. Sekhar Babu. Representatives of Krishna Milk Union, A.P. Food Processing Federation, Paramesu Biotech, Sun Green, Godrej Agrovet, NABARD, Managing Director of Tenali Double Horse Group Mohan Shyam Prasad, president of A.P. Textile Mills Association S.
