Light to moderate showers are expected in many places in Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh until October 19, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Amaravati.

Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in the two regions until October 18. North Coastal A.P. may receive heavy rain on October 15 and light showers may continue at isolated places in the region for the next four days.

According to IMD, conditions are favourable for withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from remaining parts of country during the next two days. Simultaneously, the northeast monsoon rainfall activity is likely to commence over south east peninsular region due to the setting in of easterly and north easterly winds over southern peninsular India and Bay of Bengal.
