Parts of Hyderabad witnessed moderate showers on Wednesday (October 8, 2024) afternoon, bringing some relief from the sunny conditions earlier in the day. The city had also experienced rain on Tuesday evening in several localities.

While moderate rainfall was recorded in many areas, some parts of the city remained largely dry. Localities such as A.S. Rao Nagar, Moula Ali, Safilguda, and AOC witnessed spells of rain, whereas some parts of Secunderabad, including Marredpally did not receive any rainfall.

Commuters faced minor inconvenience as waterlogging was reported near the Punjagutta flyover, leading to slow traffic movement. Traffic congestion was also observed at Ayodhya and Nirankari junctions towards V.V. Statue.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 4 p.m., Begumpet recorded a rainfall of 31 mm followed by 16.8 mm in Bowenpally, 14.8 mm in Tolichowki, 14 mm in Balanagar, 7.8 mm in Shaikpet, 7.3 mm in Srinagar Colony, 7 mm in Maitrivanam, 6.3 mm in Asifnagar, 5.8 mm in Anandbagh and 5.5 mm in Moosapet.
