The Kerala Cabinet has given sanction to Kerala Water Authority (KWA) to seek financial assistance from NABARD for Jan Jeevan Mission (JJM) projects.

The government will in principle give approval to KWA to avail of a loan of ₹8,862.95 crore, of which ₹5,000 crore may be taken in the first phase.

Kerala Societies Registration Bill

The Cabinet has granted approval for the Kerala Societies Registration Bill 2025, which will replace the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies’ Act (Act 12 of 1955) and the Societies’ Registration Act of 1860 (Central Act 21 of 1860), which is applicable to the Malabar region.
