Cyberabad SHE Teams caught 26 persons red-handed for indecent behaviour in public places during 124 decoy operations conducted between September 28 and October 4. Petty cases were booked against all of them, and counselling sessions were conducted.

The teams also received 12 complaints from women victims through different channels. To strengthen preventive measures, 61 awareness programmes were conducted in schools, colleges and public spaces, along with four counselling sessions at the Safety Wing office.

At the Family Counselling Centre and Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW), 16 couples involved in marital disputes were counselled in an effort to reconcile differences and reunite them.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered one case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA) at Madhapur Police Station, rescuing six victims and apprehending three accused. Raids carried out at night in Madhapur, Rajendranagar, Kukatpally and Jeedimetla led to the apprehension of eight transgenders and two sex workers.

Awareness campaigns were also organised across Cyberabad, with around 160 participants educated on human and child trafficking, eve teasing, cyber bullying, child labour, social media harassment, child rights, stalking, begging and frauds. Helpline numbers 181, 1098, 100 and 1930 were highlighted during these sessions.
