Sustainability must move from awareness to measurable impact: CPCL

Sustainability must move from awareness to action, and from action to measurable impact. “Let us continue to work together, share knowledge, build meaningful partnerships, and translate our commitments into tangible environmental outcomes,” V Sriram, Chief General Manager, HSE, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) said while delivering the vote of thanks at The Hindu Sustainability Summit 2026.

Mr. Sriram thanked all the panellists and government officials for their insights during the panel discussion and fireside chats. He thanked V. K. Rajeev, Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Government of Tamil Nadu for being a part of the summit.

He thanked IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, MRPL, and other energy-sector organisations for being part of the summit. He thanked The Hindu for putting the event together. “A special word of appreciation to CommuniTree – our NGO partner – and all the sustainability organisations and volunteers who supported the various initiatives such as the Urban Forest Trail, Art for Awareness, and the Installation Art Event at Mathur during the last 30 days,” he said.

The summit is supported by Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) as the Presenting Partner, with NLC India Limited, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Navin’s, WABAG, Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited, Indian Bank, Urbando and State Bank of India as Associate Partners.

The summit’s sustainability-focused partnerships include Thermax as the Sustainable Cooling Partner, Treeni as the Sustainability Intelligence Partner, Chennai Port Authority as the Blue Economy Partner and Tamil Nadu Green Climate Company as the Climate Action Partner.

Mangaldeep is the Fragrance Partner, Puthiya Thalaimurai the TV Partner, The Federal the Digital TV Partner and Communitree the NGO Partner.
