Moreover, the zoo received a two-year-old male Asiatic Lion named Shiva, a two-year-old female Asiatic Lion named Sara, and a three-year-old Royal Bengal Tiger named Bhadra from the Indore zoo. With this, six new big cats have been added to the collection of animals at the zoo.

In exchange, Shivamogga zoo sent two Asiatic lions (one male and one female), two sloth bears (one male and one female), two golden jackals (one male and one female) to the Aurangabad zoo. It also transferred two pairs of gaurs and two pairs of ostriches to the Indore zoo, said a communique from V.M. Amarakshara, executive director of the zoo.
