Cleanliness pledge, flash mob mark Swachhotsav programme on Alappuzha Beach

The Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 Swachhotsav programme, along with the valedictory function of the district-level folk campaign of the Yuva Jagaran project, was held on the Alappuzha Beach on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The event was organised under the aegis of the District National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with the Alappuzha municipality.

As part of the activities, a human chain was formed by NSS volunteers, municipal officials, and Haritha Karma Sena members. The highlights included a cleanliness pledge, a street play by Karunagappally Naattarangu on HIV-AIDS awareness, a signature campaign, a flash mob by NSS volunteers, the celebration of NSS Kartavya Week, and other activities.

The programme was inaugurated by Peeyush P., youth officer, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Alappuzha Municipal chairperson K.K. Jayamma presided.
