Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta has said that the Police Department will set up a round-the-clock Cyber War Room soon.
Speaking to the Police Commissioners and the District Superintendents of Police in a video conference on Friday, the DGP said the department is planning to set up an AI-based cyber monitoring system, integration of the 1930 Helpline with the RTGS, training 500 officers in cybercrime in the first phase, and opening a district-level response system soon.
Stating that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, during a review meeting held recently, directed the Police Department to focus on checking cyber frauds, the DGP directed the senior police officers to act tough on those who are posting abusive and insulting comments on social media.
