Eleven held for attacking youth over love proposal

Eleven people were arrested for allegedly attacking a youth in Kadapa district, the police said on Saturday. The victim, identified as P. Lokeswara Reddy, was attacked on Friday for his alleged love proposal to a woman. He was later shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently under going treatment. The police recovered sticks, empty beer bottles and motorcycles from the accused, identified as C. Sai Pratap, 21, C. Hari Prasad, 29, P. Mangala Madanmohan, 20, Y. Vinay Kumar, 20, C. Noor Mohammad, 22, J. Govardhan, 22, P. Bhuvanesh, 18, G. Yashwant Siva, 19, M. Narayanaswamy, 28, G. Anji, 23, and G. Praveen, 28. Others involved in the attack are at large, Proddatur Rural Circle Inspector M. Nagabhushan.
