Telangana Government has decided to accept applications for conversion of industrial lands within and near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) under its Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy (HILTP) for three months till October 31.

The government orders reopening of the online portal under the HILT Policy for receipt of applications for a further period of three months from August 1 to October 31 at the SRO rates prevailing prior to June 5, 2026, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said in a GO. It had earlier accepted the applications for a month, in June.

The decision to reopen the portal and accept applications, for the industrial land conversion, for three more months comes in the backdrop of stakeholders and association representatives pointing out to the portal kept open for only one month, from June 1-30. Besides requesting it be reopened and kept operational up to December 2026, they appealed for the SRO rates prevailing prior to June 5, 2026 to be applied.

Their plea on continuing with the old rates, at a meeting held by the Cabinet Sub Committee on revenue mobilisation on June 21, came in the backdrop of the government effective June 5 revising the SRO rates upwards.

All other terms and conditions stipulated in the policy and the operational guidelines will remain unchanged and continue to apply during the extended period. Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Vice Chairman and Managing Director will take further necessary action in the matter accordingly, the Chief Secretary said in the GO.

Announcing the HILTP, to facilitate conversion of the industrial lands for multi-use zones, the government had authorised TGIIC as the nodal agency for implementation of the policy.
